The Pines Wedding Photography
Wedding details are my favorite thing to photograph— and not just because they’re freaking gorgeous. The real reason I love details so much is that it gives me a chance to get to know the couples I serve in a totally new and tactile way.
I take a few minutes at the start of each wedding to gently arrange and photograph the details that my couples hold near and dear to their heart. These images highlight the couple’s unique style and they provide meaningful context into who they are outside of just this one frozen moment in time. As a storyteller, it doesn’t get much better than that.
So, what makes a good detail stand out? My favorite way to answer that question is to simply say a good detail should serve as an extension of you. If it does, it will stand out on it’s own. Whether it’s an object that showcases your unique sense of style, your love of uncommon things (like the King Protea flower used in Renae’s bouquet!), or an object that has been passed down as a family heirloom, no object is too small to be part of the narrative of your wedding day.
