Barnesville Wedding Photographer | Deena + Jake Married!

When we arrived, we made our way to the bridal suite go to meet with Deena + her girls. As we approached the little, rustic, white cabin, located on the side of the property, you could hear the boisterous laughter spilling out. We said our ‘Hello’s and grabbed the mounds of details to start taking photos. We hung the bridesmaid’s dresses on hooks fixed to the back wall and hung Deena’s dress by the chandelier. The vibe in the getting ready suite was so warm and inviting.
The weather, on the other hand, was cold, blustery and the sky looked as though it could burst open with rain at any second. It was a bit unnerving, but we pushed through until we had to take shelter. The team at The Vintage Garden Venue converted the reception venue to hold the ceremony within 20 minutes and everything went off without a hitch.
To kick off the reception, Jake performed a song from The Wedding Singer on his ukulele and it brought me right back to their engagement session where Jake serenaded Deena in a cute little park just off of the interstate. I adore how personalized and intimate their wedding felt. Every detail felt like it was perfectly crafted just for them, like the cake that Jake’s aunt made. It was decorated to look like a campsite (seriously, scroll down and look at it) and every swoop of the icing was perfectly placed.
Also during the reception, Deena’s brother, Corey (who owns Take The Leap Entertainment!) took us through the ever-popular Shoe Game. It was so fun to see the audience come alive and participate. Of course, as Deena’s brother— he had the perfect arsenal of questions just for them. It was such an amazing day.
